Some guys do wear makeup. Of course, I wear makeup too. Not on a daily basis but I do put it on when attending social events, media appearances, photoshoots and so on. Like most of you my dear readers, my skin is not perfect and make-up can help us with that, making it look more presentable.
So, I do get a little excited to hear Chanel is releasing the all-new makeup collection for men called Boy de Chanel. It's a simple collection comprising of 3 items - a sheer tint foundation, eyebrow pencil and a matte lip balm. This would be a great starter kit for guys who have never use any makeup.
When it comes to guys, you would want to look as natural as you can be. Nothing excessive. A tint sheer foundation is what you need! The Le Teint Foundation should be a great one to start with. The fluid is lightweight and comes in 4 shades. Soft focus powders in the formula help to correct imperfections with a sheer finish, and it also has SPF 25 sunscreen (I dont't think it's enough if you are out in the sun here - so, do add in your own sunscreen). It also has hyaluronic acid to keep your skin comfortable all day long!
If you have a great thick eyebrow like Henry Golding from Crazy Rich Asians, good for you! But if you don't, the Le Stylo Sourcils Eyebrow Pencil is here to help. It comes with a spiral brush on one end and a retractable, easy-to-use tapered tip on the other. It is also waterproof, comfortable and stays on for eight hours, thanks to emollient oils in the formula.
Last but not least, Matte Moisturising Lip Balm is to help nourish and soften lips with NO SHINE. (No, you don't want to have a glossy lips guys!)
That's all. Do expect Boy de Chanel to be released some time in November (online) and it will arrive in Malaysia this coming January 2019.
Update (January 3, 2019): The Boy de Chanel makeup collection will be available at Chanel Fragrance & Beauty boutique at Mid Valley Megamall and Pavilion KL in February 2019.
